About us
My name is Hannah and I am a mum of two very special boys, Ronnie and Ray. I started this charity back in 2021 when I was upset of the lack of opportunities in the community for children and young people with learning disabilities and I decided to make a change. Ronnie was born with a rare genetic condition which causes global developmental delay and other challenges, I wanted to create a brighter future for him and create a space where children and young people with a learning disability can feel included, valued and encouraged. We fight for equal opportunities in the community for our children and aim to improve mental health and wellbeing, and reduce social isolation.
Now, nearly two years on, The Be Kind Project provides a wide range of support to families with our various programs - Be Kind Kids Club, Stay & Play Early Intervention Parent & Toddler group, Safe Space Youth group and our Parent/Carer support group - Be Kind to your Mind.
Creating a space where children and young people with a learning disability can feel included, valued, and encouraged.
